We appreciate your donation as a birthday gift and thank you for your interest in supporting the Maine Mayhem. We are Maine’s only full contact women’s football team! The Mayhem is the flagship program under the Maine Women’s Football Inc., a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization created to support women in the sport of football.
The Mayhem will play their fourth season in the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) and will begin practicing in January using indoor facilities. League play begins in April and consists of an 8 game schedule including 4 home games and 4 away games. The WFA has a total of 64 teams across the country so a successful season could result in play offs and another shot at the National Championship game in the month of July.
We are seeking your support to help make this program successful. As you can imagine, there are many costs in providing such a unique opportunity for Maine’s women. Costs in 2018 totaled over $25,000 and included rental of indoor practice facilities, game day field rental, uniforms, equipment, team insurance, referee fees as well as travel for away games. We couldn’t do it without the donations like yours!
